Hi, I'm Valerie!

I'm a UX Designer based in Los Angeles, currently working at Mach49. My journey into UX Design birthed from my previous background in event production and marketing. As I worked to create immersive brand experiences for different markets, I discovered my passion for listening to the needs and pains of people. Combined with my extremely curious personality, I knew it was time to switch to the light side (UX!). By digging deeper into the UX process and working to build solutions to global problems like mental health and the future of work, I have created a database of knowledge from user research to design. I also act as Social Media Manager for a family photo-sharing app to continue working on my visual design and marketing skills.

Outside work, you can find me reading non-fiction books, exploring places to eat, or hanging with my 8-month old kitten Rupert.
